Sailing on either the beautiful Magellan Explorer or Magellan Discoverer you’ll be in the company of only 75 other explorers in one of the best purpose-built ships equipped to push through metre-thick ice to take you to the remotest place on earth

This fully-inclusive holiday encompases some of the very best of the Antarctic Peninsula, keeping both the dedicated wildlifer and those thirsty for adventure happy. Choose to Kayak amidst whales, cruise ice clad bays in Zodiacs, land ashore and trek over frozen wastes in close company with penguins and seals.

This is an experience you’ll never forget

DAY 1: Induction at Explorers’ House

With its own dedicated facility in Punta Arenas you’ll join your fellow explorers for kitting out, welcome dinner and fascinating briefing prior to heading to your stylish hotel for overnight; in eager anticipation of your flight tomorrow to the frozen continent

DAY 2: Scheduled flight to Antarctica.

You’ll fly from Punta Arenas for the one and half hour flight to King George Island, (looking down on Drake Passage, thankful perhaps that you’re not rocking and rolling down there), where you’ll disembark and transfer to your boutique expedition vessel in Antarctica.

DAY 3: Explore Antarctica

You’ll start your cruise between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, sailing along ice-filled fjords and among spectacular icebergs

DAY 4:  Wildlife or wondrous sights?

Every day will be different. Depending on what you’ve chosen to participate in you’ll undoubtedly have the opportunity to kayak, cruise on zodiacs, trek or simply land ashore on each day depending on conditions.

DAY 5: What’s on today?

You’ll continue sailing along ice-filled fjords and among spectacular icebergs while enjoying the company of seabirds, penguins, seals, and whales.

Never underestimate when your next thrill is going to appear, as every bay and fjord offers a completely different vista and compliment of wildlife.

DAY 6: So much to do!

While the kayakers are sharing their tales of wildlife encounters, others will be sharing their experiences with stunning landscapes and inquisitive animals on shore.

There’s always something for everyone either on the ice or onboard when you attend an engaging program of educational presentations and enjoy spectacular views from the lounge while sharing your daily adventures with fellow guests.

DAY 7: Say goodbye to Antarctica

Your ship will head back to King George Island where you’ll board the flight back to Punta Arenas. On arrival, you’ll transfer to your comfortable hotel for the night.

(Note: Meals in Punta Arenas on your return are at your leisure and not included in the programme).

 

 

DAY 8: End of your air-cruise – or is it?

After breakfast and exchanging contact details with new friends who’ll share your once-in-a-lifetime experiencesa with forever, your transfer will take you to the Punta Arenas airport for your onward flight.
