DAY 1: Maun > Okavango Delta
On arrival in Maun, you’ll board your Mack Air Light aircraft flight from Maun Airport to Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge airstrip. The luxurious Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge is located in a private concession in the Okavango Delta, adjacent to the Moremi.
DAY 2: Moremi – concession
Sandibe is an intimate and highly romantic getaway offering warm hospitality, excellent game viewing and tranquil spaces. Activities include game drives, bush walks and fishing. 12 suites are elevated above the landscape and extend out to private decks with glittering plunge pools and breath-taking views. Superb meals and fine wines are savoured whilst gazing out over floodplains, papyrus and palms,
DAY 3: Moremi – concession
Wake early each morning for a safari into this wonderful reserve, returning for breakfast and a relaxing break before your afternoon safari. Return for a freshen up, sundowner and hearty dinner. You’ll be looking for African wild dog, lion, elephant, semi-aquatic red lechwe antelope, hippo and giraffe.
DAY 4: Okavango Delta
Transfer by air to Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp on the edges of the permanent Okavango Delta. In an exclusive 272, 000 hectare wildlife concession, south-east of Moremi Game Reserve, is the sleek Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp. Set on its own Delta island, Xaranna boasts solitude and sweeping views over the vast floodplains and permanent channels
DAY 5: Xaranna Camp safaris
Activities during your stay at Xaranna can include game drives, guided walking safaris,boating and mokoro adventures. Exceptional wildlife, including elephant, large buffalo herds, tsessebe, hippo, lion, leopard, African wild dog and roan antelope might be seen.
DAY 6: Makgadikgadi Salt Pans
Located on the edge of the vast and desolate Makgadikgadi Salt Pans in Botswana, is an oasis of style and comfort, Jack’s Camp, which you’ll transfer to by light aircraft. This extra-ordinary tented camp lies in a palm grove with spectacular vistas over one of the harshest landscapes of the African continent.
DAY 7: Jack’s Camp
Regular activities from Jack’s Camp include magic encounters with the friendly Meerkats, informative Bushman interactions, visits to Chapman’s Baobab, expert guiding of the unique desert wildlife and star gazing. In addition to these regular activities, the wet season ushers in the spectacular sight of the annual zebra and wildebeest migration, and the dry season allows guests the opportunity to explore the vast Makgadikgadi saltpans on quad bikes.
DAY 8: Jack’s Camp
You are accommodated in one of ten green, roomy canvas tents, fashioned in classical 1940’s style with a few creative surprises. Tents include en-suite facilities with indoor and outdoor showers. Persian rugs underfoot, high four poster beds, cool cotton sheets and mahogany and brass campaign-style furniture form a striking contrast with the rugged wilderness viewed from the comfort of one’s own veranda. Tempting to miss the safari perhaps!
DAY 9: Johannesburg
Air transfer to Johannesburg and the Saxon Boutique Hotel; located in the tranquil tree-lined suburb of Sandhurst, within minutes of Johannesburg’s world-class shopping and business hub. Set on 10 acres of landscaped gardens, the Saxon is a quiet escape from the outside world with panoramic views over the indigenous gardens towards the city skylines.
DAY 10: Sabi Sands, Kruger National Park
Air transfer to Sabi Sands. Standing steadfast amongst enormous trees on the banks of the Sand River in the western Sabi Sand Private Reserve, is Singita Ebony. The original Singita Lodge, Ebony has a commanding presence while welcoming visitors with the warmth of a family home.
DAY 11: Singita Ebony Lodge, Sabi Sands
During your stay at Singita Ebony Lodge, you are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife, including species such as leopard, lion, rhino, large herds of buffalo, elephant, reedbuck, hyena, hippopotamus, nyala, cheetah, wild dogs and many types of birds.
DAY 12: Singita Ebony Lodge, Sabi Sands
The 12 opulent secluded thatched suites exude sumptuous cosiness, with rooms styled in an eclectic mix of colours, fabrics and textures. The luxury suites are air-conditioned; with a grand glass fronted bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower and free-standing Victorian bathtub, plus an expansive living area with a private wooden game viewing deck and heated plunge pool. You can also go on safari twice a day before leaving tomorrow for home!
