15 Day Luxury Tanzania & Kenya Safari with Zanzibar island

Masai Mara National Park, Kenya > Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, Ngorongoro Crater > Tarangire National Park > Zanzibar

A fantastic adventure through Kenya’s Masai Mara to Tanzania’s Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Parks before chilling out for a few days in the exotic ‘Spice Route’ Zanzibar island – from £5,000 pp sharing plus park entry fees and flights.

DAY 1: Nairobi

At Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the 5-star hotel Boma Hotel in order to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

DAY 2: Nairobi > Masai Mara National Park

Drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley to arrive in the famous Masai Mara National Reserve and the Entim Mara Camp in time for a late lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game-drive in the Mara; world renowned for the breathtaking spectacle of ‘the greatest wildlife show on earth’.

DAY 3: Masai Mara safari

Spend all day on safari in the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives and breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp. When it comes to game-viewing, there is nowhere in Africa richer in wildlife or more eventful in encounters than the Mara – a pristine wilderness of haunting beauty.

DAY 4: Masai Mara safari

You have yet another exciting day in Masai Mara enjoying morning and afternoon game drives, with plenty of opportunities to tick off your remaining ‘Big Five’ as well as a multitude of other species. All meals and overnight at Entim Mara Camp

DAY 5: Masai Mara > Serengeti National Park

Transfer to the local airstrip in Masai Mara for a scheduled Airkenya Flight to Serengeti Seronera Airstrip in Tanzania. Arrive in Serengeti National Park and travel to Angata Serengeti camp, ideally located for safari game drives and optional activities such as balloon safaris, guided walks etc. Lunch and afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp

DAY 6: Serengeti safari

With a full day on safari (morning and afternoon game drives) your options are wide. The Serengeti, whose Maasai name ‘Siringet’ translates as ‘the endless plains’, offers unparalleled opportunities and an unrivaled natural arena as nowhere else on earth. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Angata Serengeti Camp.

DAY 7: Serengeti safari

You have yet another exciting day in The Serengeti enjoying morning and afternoon game drives in this majestic arena of nature’s wide open plains.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Angata Serengeti Camp.

DAY 8: Serengeti > Olduvai Gorge > Ngorongoro Crater

From the Serengeti, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, the ‘Cradle of Mankind’, site of one of the most important and controversial Palaeolithic finds in recent history. After lunch at the site, continue to Ngorongoro Crater onto your overnight camp; arrive at the Angata Ngorongoro Camp.

DAY 9: Ngorongoro Crater

In the morning after breakfast descend for a half day game drive into the crater. Often referred to as ‘the eighth wonder of the world’ the Ngorongoro Crater is an utterly unique biosphere, harbouring grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, a fresh water lake and a glorious variety of wildlife, all enclosed within its towering walls.

DAY 10: Tarangire National Park

Having driven from Ngorongoro Crater at a leisurely pace the afternoon before, you’re ready for a full day on safari in Tarangire National Park with full day game drives. Breakfast, lunch (picnic style) and dinner at the camp.

DAY 11: Arusha > Zanzibar

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Arusha where lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Ocean Paradise Resort.

DAY 12: Zanzibar – The Spice Isle

Settle into Ocean Paradise Resort, your home for the next few days, The resort offers crystal blue waters, a wide selection of dining experiences (breakfast and dinner are included), extensive sports, and a wide range of cultural entertainment (some charged additionally).

DAY 13: Zanzibar at leisure

The second of your three days of leisure in Zanzibar. Optional activities at the hotel include swimming, snorkelling, sea kayaking, diving, water sports, dhow trips and nature trails plus visits to a dhow workshop and the brooding caverns of the Mangapwani Slave Caves where slaves were hidden until after the abolition of slavery.

DAY 14: Zanzibar – look around

Why not visit ancient Stone Town and around? See the Portuguese Fort, Sultan’s Palace, old Dhow Port, Old Slave Market, House of Wonders, Old Dispensary, Livingstone House,  Hamamni Bath, The National Museum, Chukwani Palace and Jozani Forest – the last Red Colobus monkey sanctuary. Breakfast and dinner provided at your resort.

DAY 15: Zanzibar >

After breakfast, depart to Zanzibar airport to connect to your onward flight, driving past some of the exotic beaches and landscapes that you’ve become familiar with in the last few days on this exotic, white sand, sun-kissed island
